This one is not far from my house, at the end of Bristol-Bath cycle path. It was turned into a cycle shop.
Flamey Oh!
Have you seen the opening ceremony yesterday? I went to Millenium Square to watch it on the big screen, and it was great! It was amazing to hear everyone laughing and clapping as soon as Mr Bean appeared! (well, they did the same for David Beckam, which I reprove...)
And it was nice too to see where every country was in the crowd. We heared applause for China, for Belgium, and some others. And we noticed when France came that we were just beside a French group!
Well anyway, I particularly loved the flight of Mary Poppins, and the wingged cycles. And what did you think of the Torch? Wasn't it a nice symbol, these many small torches joining together in one flame?
On the contrary, I thought the giant baby was really scary... (ans so was Sir Paul McCartney)
But it's wonderful how British people are so wicked proud of themselves, isn't it? I loved all these British references, but anyway.
And Sara loved that every Spanish speaking country men were wearing hats!

The day of the Lord
This church is on Gloucester Road. It is now a school of gymnastics and dance. The chapel beside was also converted into a theatre for the school's shows.
And this is a fitness club. I love the red X of "Exercise club"! Another way to use a cross on a church...

A dozen of vans, please
This surprised me: there are lots of vans here in Bristol. I don't know why. But anyway, I like these cars, so I took pictures of a few of them...
The day of the Lord
This one is my favourite! It's a climing centre. It's in St Werburghs, on Mina Road.
I was a little disappointed though to see you could not climb into the bell tower... But it's great anyway!

How to recognize your house
I just moved to Bristol, I'm really glad of my new home with a bow-window, so british! There was just one little problem... I could never recognize my house, for in my street every houses were alike.
Well, to be true, every houses in every streets are alike! What a nightmare!
So I decided to do something. I painted my door in flashy pink! I was very proud of it, and never tried to enter my neighbour's house again.
But a little while later, I noticed this house. Damn! Someone had the same idea as me!
So I thought hard, and had another idea. This time, I'm pretty sure nobody will do the same...

The day of the Lord
This one is great! It was converted into a Electrical store.
It's located at the corner of Gloucester Road and Berkely Road.
Here is another one, which is hollow and painted inside.
