I guess this sign was supposed to mock it.
Obsession of security... What does it mean, in the outside, in a country where it always rain, and consequently where the floor always get wet?

I thought it was funny that they use this phrase on an official sign. When I told people that in France it's a rather familiar phrase, and what it literally meant, they didn't believe me!
Another misused Franch phrase: they think that we say "Ooh la la!" when we see some pretty woman in the street... Do we? Well, I know they think the same in Spain, maybe in other countries as well.
Guess what is the name of this small path...
That's right: "avenue"!
Aren't these uncommon notices?
Look on the roof, among the seegulls. Yes, that's an owl. Well, a fake owl. I didn't understand why they put it here. There are three of them on the roof. I thought it was to be a scarecrow, but it doesn't seem to work. So I don't get why there are pieces of art on a shed roof...
And now a story I was told!
A French journalist interviewed the GB cycle team leader after the Tour, and asked him how GB team became that efficient. The leader answered "It's because our wheels are perfectly round"!
The journalist actually printed it, and the redactor, who was on holidays, discovered it and yelled: "Why are you printing that? That's English sense of humour!"
And the best bit is that the wheels were actually made... in France!
