At last I could taste fish and chips! Well, that's no big deal, but it's one of the few things you can only find in England. I wanted to try every time I came, and never did.
It's just a fried fish (most often cod, but also haddock, or shrimps, or...) with chips. Big thick chips! With salt and vinegar, like in the North (no ketchup, it's not an american fast food!).
Yum yum! Look at that!
And just because I liked the play of words of the shop...
Witaj Noc!
ReplyDeleteMy most famous british souvenirs:
- 1975: Mc Vities ginger cake and (but not with!) lemon curd (I don't remember its brand);
- 1986: scones at Exeter tearoom, with butter and five o'clock tea.
- and, a long time ago, my 1st and unforgettable London memories, as a child. Certainly my 1st and last lunch in an english restaurant: steack pie and green jelly.
- Not so british but unforgettable too (for the opposite reason...): my 1st indian meal in a small but terrific London indian restaurant.
Make your own opinion!
Good internship!
Tata.
I have still so many things to experience!
