Another roadtrip to Wales...

Maybe you don't know (I didn't), but British people work on the 1st and the 8th of May. Instead, the 1st Monday of May is bank holiday.
So last weekend, Pierrick and Clémentine came from London to spend our 3 days weekend together here in Bristol.

Today's note is a rather special one since almost every pictures are from Clem. I couldn't dare to display my own while I could show such nice photos instead.

On Saturday we went to Wales. And this time we crossed the bridge!

On the other side of the Severn, the first city is Chepstow. This is a nice little town, where you can see the old wall and the castle.

The Portwall was built between 1272 and 1278 and was long of 1123 metres (1270 yards). Two third of its length are still up, the rest of having be demolished in 1846 for the railway and in 1916 for the National Shipyard.

A funny thing is that, as soon as you enter Wales, every sign is written in two languages!

When we returned, we noticed that it was high tide. Well, we were a little surprised: you must know that at this point, this is not the open sea, but only an arm of Irish Sea.

At last, to end this day beautifully, we could enjoy a sunset over the Severn. Well, the sun is behing the clouds, of course, but I guess that's what we call a sunset here!

Oh, and for sure, we were riding!
